House and Senate Education Committees Majority and Minority Chairmen Named

The Speaker of the House and the President Pro Tempore of the Senate recently announced the following lawmakers as the majority and minority chairmen of the House and Senate Education committees for the two-year, 2017-18 legislative session:
House Education Committee
- Majority Chairman – Rep. David Hickernell (R-Lancaster)
- Minority Chairman – Rep. James Roebuck (D-Philadelphia)
Senate Education Committee
- Majority Chairman – Sen. John Eichelberger (R-Blair)
- Minority Chairman – Sen. Andrew Dinniman (D-Chester)
